STEWARDSHIP SUNDAY IS OCTOBER 10 - We have mailed out envelopes with pledge cards for 2022. After a prayerful consideration, please return the pledge cards to the church, either by mail or in-person on or before November 7.
We have designated the month of October for our Annual Stewardship/Giving campaign for 2022. Today, October 10, 2021, is the specific date set to launch our Stewardship Campaign. On Sunday, November 7th, we will hold our “In-gathering” service, and returned pledge cards will be blessed. I cannot overemphasize the need for parishioners who are able, to give not only their financial resources, but also give their time, experience, and passion. Don’t wait to be asked. If you can, please volunteer and help to make a difference in your Church. Perhaps, you may save St. Michael’s Episcopal Church some money and also take pride in your participation.
There are plenty of opportunities for additional persons to volunteer and serve in the following areas: Lectors, Lay Eucharistic Ministers, Ushers, Acolytes, Altar Guild, Sunday school, Youth (EYC), Mission and Outreach. Please contact Fr. James if you wish to volunteer and help.
Collect for Stewardship Sunday: Gracious and generous God, giver of all we have and hold as stewards; grant the people of this church a deep and abiding awareness that all that we have our health, our incomes, our jobs, our talents – are gifts received from your hand. Send your Holy Spirit to help us as we swim against the rising tides of materialism and greed in our culture. Send your Holy Spirit to teach us that we make a living by what we get but we make a life by what we give! Send your Holy Spirit to remind us that when we give generously and joyfully, we grow in grace and our spiritual lives are transformed as our stewardship becomes a witness to the love of Jesus Christ in our lives. We pray with grateful, thankful hearts, in the name of Jesus, the Christ…AMEN!
